Not as many photos today from the Union Square Greenmarket. We were a little later today than usual and it was crowded. We were also laden very quickly with heavy items, which makes it difficult to handle the camera.
We entered the market already carrying a big bottle of dish soap from Whole Foods. From there, we got two bottles of milk and a pint of half-and-half, 2 pounds of turnips and parsnips, 3 pounds of carrots and radishes, 2 pounds of onions, 7 pounds of apples, 1 pound of cranberries, 3 pounds of sweet potatoes, a 5 pound bag of locally grown and milled flour, and… well, you get the point.
As the weather gets colder, the items purchased at the greenmarket get heavier. Root vegetables weigh a lot more than leafy greens!
Hey guys, great meeting you last night — and what a nice looking blog! I will keep checking back in the future.
Cheers,
AKM
I see I spelled my name wrong the first time around. Oh well, what do you expect from an old English teacher. Love you, Lonnie
